I am so greatful to God for allowing me to be taken out of my home into a land of great beauty for a time of reflection. The world is full of of troubles and hard times. How amazing it is to be promised hard times just as God promises to be with us every step of the way. Even though I am working 60 hours a week, the pace of the town has alowed me to slow down an reflect just how much God has protected me from and how much he has done for me. These next two months I want to focus on prayer more. I find that God removes people from perticular situations to have them pray. Seeing as I am 3000 miles away and there are many things to pray for back at Metro Life Church, there must be lots of praying I need to do. God has led me to this scripture to share with you. Psalm 46:1 God is our refuge and strenght, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear though the earth gives way, though the mountains be removed into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam, though the mountains tremble at is swells.

Your sister in Christ,
Becky
Sarah - you may not realize it, but Jesse Phillips called for 24 people to pray for Metro for one hour covering a total of 24 hours. The prayer started today at 9a and will conclude tomorrow morning at 9a. We'll all meet for prayer at Metro. How cool that the Lord was prompting you to pray for Metro the same week! Your scripture is timely! Also, your Dad is praying right now - he signed up for the 9p - 10p hour. Tom and I are scheduled for tomorrow morning from 6a - 7a. I'm so glad the Lord is meeting you even in the midst of your busyness! Love and miss you!!! Oh, one more thing! I'm coordinating my niece's wedding tomorrow - I sure wish you were here to help me! :-)
